Summer is fast approaching and so is the registration for the City of Ottawa Summer camps. The School Council has been in contact with Elizabeth Harrison who is the program coordinator at the Hunt Club Riverside Park Community Centre (HCRCC). Elizabeth and her team are just starting to promote the City of Ottawa summer camps and would love to have the students from all the surrounding schools have the chance to attend!

The full City of Ottawa Camp guide, is linked below, along with a flyer specific to the Hunt Club Riverside Park Community Centre - the closest Community Centre to the General Vanier - which includes the various camps the City runs based on age, with the weekly themes.

Registration for Camp begins at
9pm on Wednesday May 11th, 2022, and in person on Thursday May 12th, 2022. Registration can be done online using their city of Ottawa account, or in person at the front desk of your local city community centre.

We know the cost associated with sending children to camps can be expensive but the City does offer financial support to those who qualify to help allow children to experience the joys of summer camp. Financial aid for programs such as these is available through Ottawa Hand in Hand.

Included below is the information for the City's 'Hand in Hand' subsidy program that can be used towards summer camp! Attached is the application form that parents or guardians can complete and bring to most city of Ottawa recreation centers.
Hand in hand forms need to be completed and submitted ahead of time to allow for approval time before registration.
